The Culpeper Branch of the NAACP will host its annual commemoration of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday on Monday, January 19, beginning at noon at Eastern View High School. The event is free and open to the public.
Patricia Hunter-Jordan, president of the NAACP Hanover County Branch, will be the keynote speaker for the event, which will also include musical performances and a presentation of the branch’s 2026 Legacy Award. Local artists Eve Russell and Tyechia Robinson will sing, and the Eastern View High School ROTC will conduct a Presentation of Colors. Pastor Garry Brown of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Locust Grove will offer the invocation.
