The NAACP Culpeper Branch will join the Town of Culpeper/Culpeper Renaissance in a Juneteenth celebration on June 19, to be commemorated as part of the town’s Third Thursday summer concert series. This event will be located in the town’s “Depot District” near the train station at the end of Davis Street. NAACP Culpeper will host a tent at the celebration. Deja Gruv, an R&B/blues/Motown band, will perform as the featured artist for the evening. Festivities occur from 5-9 pm. Food trucks will be available. Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair; pets and coolers are not permitted. The branch’s general membership meeting, which typically occurs on the third Thursday of the month, is cancelled.
