The Culpeper Branch of the NAACP was founded in 1945 by Mortimer M. Marshall. Our first chartered branch was established on September 17, 1953, and re-chartered on January 14, 1980. Early presidents included Mortimer Marshall, Leola Fields, Gerard Jenkins, and Julia Luckett.

Executive Commitee

The Culpeper Branch of the NAACP is led by an Executive Committee consisting of officers, at-large members, and standing committee chairs. We hold biannual elections for our officers and at-large members. Our Executive Committee for the 2025-2026 term consists of:
